The Community Care Clinic of Dare provides short-term and long-term prescription assistance for its patients depending on their level of registration.
Short-term assistance is provided through on-site sample medications and medication vouchers, which can be taken to one of the Clinic's partnering pharmacies: Bear Drugs in Kitty Hawk and Nags Head, Island Pharmacy in Manteo, and Beach Pharmacy in Hatteras.
Long-term assistance provides patients with a full-year supply of medication (30-120 day increments) at no charge through pharmaceutical company prescription assistance programs. Each program has a distinct set of eligibility criteria and documentation requirements. Clinic staff and volunteers manage the process from application to delivery of the medication.
